Nothing is more expensive than your own time, so it’s the resource you have to take much care of, and when you work with a computer your time depends on its performance. The last thing you want is the computer running slow or even freezing in the middle of a task but that's exactly the kind of things that will happen on Windows operative systems if you don't be very careful about what you install on the PC and what you do with it. The thing is that the time you spend “taking care of your computer” is the time that you don’t use for work and that time cost money. How much? Maybe a lot and for sure more than 24.95 dollars, the price of the Advanced Registry Doctor.
Advanced Registry Doctor can help you out taking care of your computer. It's a really nice and easy-to-use application which ability is basically to look up for errors in the system registry, kind of an important part of your system.
Its nice and neat interface, receives you with a welcome screen and five options (this screen can be disabled). The first option – the recommended one - is “Perform smart system scan”. The second option – selected by default – is “Quick Scan” if you don’t want to go deep by you want to make it fast. The third option is “Let me choose which tests to run” where you will be able to configure tests options. The fourth and fifth options are “Open registry toolkit” and “Open startup wizard”.
The first three options basically do the same: analyze the windows registry, looking for errors and potential problems and fixing them whenever it’s possible. The difference between them is the quantity of tests they perform and the drives in which they do it. The list of tests is pretty large and if you go for the third option you can select them one by one. Just to give an idea let’s list some of them:

What is the Registry Toolkit about? This toolkit joins a set of interesting tools for the performance and health of the system registry. Let’s know what they are:
• Registry defragmentation: the equivalent to disk defragmentation increases the performance and speed with which Windows access information.
• System backup: it’s useful when you want to go back to a previous state of Windows. From here you can create “pictures” of the system at any time and reload them any time after.
• Registry backup: since it’s the most important part of your system it’s always good to have a backup of the registry.
• Registry defragmentation scheduler: with this tool you don’t even have to remember to run defragmentation tool. Only create a program for it.
And what is the Startup Wizard about? This wizard will show you the applications that are running at Windows startup, will let you add new applications to this list and delete the ones you don’t want there anymore. It’s typical after installing a few applications your tray bar extends almost until the middle of your screen and you don’t even know how! With this wizard you will be able to sort thing out.
To finish this review let’s say that this friendly software supports many languages for its interface, so no matter what language you speak, it’s very likely that Advanced Registry Doctor speaks it too. |
